Cosmetic Industry: Kettles and Bottle Filling Machine
During one of our technician’s routine visits to a cosmetics manufacturer, the customer asked if we could do some welding and fabrication on two of their new steam kettles. We brought the kettles to our machine shop and successfully made the requested modifications. A few days after, we received a phone call from the customer about repairing and updating one of their air-operated bottle-filling machines.
This machine was a custom-made fully pneumatic machine with no documentation, parts list or information on the operation of the machine. With a plethora of resources at our disposal, we were able to contact the person that built this machine and get information on how it functioned. By combining their input with our knowledge of machines that use similar technology, we were able to understand, diagnose, and fix problems in order to get the machine functioning properly and back to the customer in a timely manner.
Since then, we have repaired a second bottle-filling machine, a custom-built pneumatic powder press, and made modifications to an electronic conveyorized labelling machine.
Unfortunately, due to the proprietary nature of this machine, we cannot post any photos of the pneumatic machine.
