Seickel and Sons resolve a non-specialized plumber’s installation error of a steam boiler and steam press

Seickel and Sons recently demonstrated our specialized expertise in steam systems by resolving a complex installation error at a Military Academy.

A year after purchasing a refurbished steam press from Seickel and Sons, the Military Academy experienced ongoing operational problems due to an incorrect installation by non-specialized plumbers. A prompt site visit uncovered the steam press and boiler were mistakenly configured as a hot water heating system. Our experienced technicians identified the necessary corrections and proposed an optimized solution, which included the option of a more efficient manual steam press.

Following a successful bid, Seickel and Sons rectified the problems with the original installation and replaced the press. The result is a fully functional steam system. We are delighted to share the positive feedback from the uniform shop on base.

    Rotor Cabinet

    A Rotor cabinet allows the operator to dress a form with jackets, shirts, dresses and start a steam cycle. While one unit is being steamed, a 2nd piece can be loaded and ready to steam. 

    Each cabinet requires a steam and return connection as well as a 220v3ph electrical connection. An exhaust connection is recommended as well, but not required.
